Daily operation
The eSSL U10 mounts on the gate post or boom-barrier housing with line-of-sight to the approaching truck lane. Power is 12V DC drawn from the gate-house power supply. LED and buzzer feedback at the head confirm successful tag reads; the access controller drives the boom motor. For a 24×7 port deployment the reader sits in a weather-tolerant outdoor mount and runs unattended, with the dock supervisor only seeing it through the port management system dashboard. UHF is sensitive to environment — adjacent steel containers, overhead cranes, parallel UHF readers — and the integrator’s site survey will determine final tilt, height and tag-orientation guidance for the fleet.
