Description

A premium salon-and-spa in Bandra has fifteen stylists, two colour specialists and a rotating set of freelance therapists. The eSSL MB10-VL biometric attendance machine on the back-office wall handles shift punches and floats — but the back office is two metres from the colour bar, and ammonia mist drifts through every time a colour cap comes off. Hair-spray haze rides the air all day. The MB10-VL screen has a faint sticky film by closing time. This lockable metal enclosure keeps the chemistry off the device.

Ammonia from hair colour, peroxide vapour, aerosol from fixing spray — none of them is dangerous in salon-scale concentrations, but all of them accumulate on plastic over years. A bare MB10-VL collects a fine ammonia residue around the buttons that eventually causes them to lose feel. The Mini UPS bay sits below the device cradle. A 12V Mini UPS keeps the MB10-VL logging through every outage — and the salon shares a feeder with the rest of the strip, so brief dips happen at the wrong moment. With Mini UPS continuity the freelance therapist’s three-hour booking and the stylist’s overtime both register correctly.

Mounting

Four rear-plate slots take 8mm rawl plugs for the salon’s wall. The base is flat for desktop install at the manager’s desk if you’d rather. Either way, the lockable acrylic front faces the staff for clean punches.
